Kia Ora and Welcome to Waiouru School!
Below is a ‘one-stop-shop’ of information for new families moving to Waiouru, including key dates, enrolment information, and links to other sites with Waiouru Community information.
Key Dates:
- The first day of school is on Monday 1st February 2016 – we will begin the day at 9am in our learning street (through the double doors at the east end of the building.
- Our Office Open Day is on Friday 29th January 2016 – pop in to meet Kerry (our office manager) and Marama (our Principal); bring in your enrolment forms, order uniforms, purchase stationary, and have a tour of the school.
- Five Year Olds New To School Morning Tea is on Thursday 28th January 10am to 11am – bring your pre-schooler and their morning tea into school to meet Carie King our new entrant teacher. Share a story, meet new friends, learn where all of the important stuff is in our school and take away the stress and worry of starting school for the first time.

You can either email these forms to Kerry in the office (office@waiouru.school.nz) or you can bring them in with you at our Office Open Day on Friday 29th January 2016.
Additional Information for enrolment which can be helpful but not to worry about if it is at the bottom of a moving box:
- Recent school reports, and profile/portfolio books,
- Information from any additional services you child may have worked with such as Reading Recovery or RTLit,
- School books such as writing books, mathematics books, etc
